About Me

I'm Rachel, a data analyst with a deep-rooted love for breakfast tacos and Star Wars, plus a solid foundation in Excel, SQL, Python, and Tableau.For over six years, I've thrived in computer-aided engineering design, specifically focusing on the power, utilities, and energy industries. My background lies predominantly in using CAD and GIS software (Autodesk, Bentley, ESRI, etc.) for engineering design projects. These projects have involved natural gas distribution systems, telecommunication equipment for power transmission substations, SaaS mapping applications and, oil & gas pipelines.All of this experience has given me a strong understanding of what's required in successful engineering design and infrastructure projects.However, my true north lies in using data to gain insights and drive continuous improvement. I was the kid who took things apart to find the "Why?" Now I'm the adult who asks, "Why?" when everybody else settles for "just because."
